Cornplanter is known as a great warrior and leader among the Seneca People. He was the main one who steered the Seneca people through the revolutionary war.

Artist: Karlene Familo
Karlene is an enrolled member of the Seneca Nation of Indians, Hawk Clan and resides with her 4 children here on the Allegany Territory. Besides her art skills with mural, Karlene is also an expert in creating beadwork items. Karlene chose to paint Cornplanter due to family ties to him.
Karlene used exterior paint. The Cornplanter portrait was printed out on paper, and a homemade wheat paste was used to secure it on the building.
